SHILLONG: Royal Wahingdoh FC will look to join Shillong Lajong at the top of the Zonal Round U-18 I-League table when they take on Guwahati FC at the JN Stadium in Shillong on Saturday morning.

The Royals started the tourney on a brilliant note beating Sports Authority of India, Guwahati 3-0 and followed it up with a well fought goalless draw against local rivals Shillong Lajong.

It has been an all-positive run for the Royals so far with their strikers and the backline doing a great job of complimenting each other.

If the victory against SAI came easy, RWFC was tested by the Reds and they did well to deny the rivals any points.

However, after Lajong’s comprehensive win over Rangdajied United, the Royals have their task cut out and would have to aim for a big win over their Guwahati rivals on Saturday.

All in all an exciting contest in on the cards at the JN Stadium tomorrow.
