SHILLONG: A determined Royal Wahingdoh FC came back from behind to hand over a crushing 3-1 defeat to Rangdajied United FC in the U-15 Youth League at the Madan Heh Stadium in Mawlai here on Saturday.

Despite a good show, the Royals were 0-1 behind at half time. But the table toppers turned the tide in the second half putting in three goals in dominating show.

Phrangki Buam (62’), Rakesh Singh (71’) and Rheadolf Nongneng (90+’) were the scorers for RWFC while Diego Khyriem scored the solitary goal for RUFC.

Following this fourth win in a row RWFC have extended their lead at the top to 12 points and their nearest rival Guwahati FC is at 4 points.

It has been a dominating show by the Royals so far in the tourney and they look all set to qualify for the Final Round.

While Phrangki and Rakesh scored from close range Rheadolf converted from the spot of an injury time penalty.
