GOA: Two goals at the start of second half and one in the last quarter of the match, all through Ndidi Chukwuma,  saw a clinical Sporting side come from behind to beat Guardian Angels SC 3 – 1 in the Goa Pro League match at Duler Stadium on Wednesday. Sporting went into this match with an unchanged side from their previous match.

Much of the first quarter saw both sides battling it out in the midfield.  Though Sporting enjoyed better ball possession  their strikers were prodigal upfront  and were justly punished  when Godfrey Silva  latched on to a pass from Anthony and caught the Sporting defence napping with a goalmouth cross which was neatly converted by a well placed Gammy Costa. Though stung by this reverse, Sporting  still continued with a pedestrian display and with Guardian Angel sitting deep the ball was restricted to the midfield.

The second half was a different story.  Reinforced by the introduction of Rowlin Borges for Quan Gomes and  and Ndidi Chukwuma for Alber Gonsalves  Sporting upped the ante and suddenly were all over the Guardian Angel goal. Ndidi, the young Nigerian striker took less than 5 minutes to announce his entry in style when he latched on to a smartly taken corner kick by Cajetan Fernandes to nod home the equaliser in the 50th minute and then put his team ahead three minutes later tapping in a Cajetan Fernandes assist.

Guardian Angel were put at a disadvantage when Nicolau Colaco was found l\to have elbowed Marcus Mascarenhas and shown the red card by the Referee in the 70th minute.

Reduced to ten men Guardian Angel fought on gamely and denied the Sporting striker especially Odafa Okolie who did have some good strikes on goal and was denied by the upright on one occasion, However Guardian Angel could not prevent Ndidi from claiming his well deserved hatrick when he converted a brilliant pass from Odafa in the 75th Minute.
