MUMBAI: Mumbai FC successfully conducted a Grassroots Festival with Colaba Sports League (CSL) at the Cooperage Backgarden, Colaba in Mumbai to commemorate the AFC Grassroots Day (15th May, 2015).

The Festival took place in the evening from 4 pm to 7 pm with over 100 kids participating. The coaches involved the kids in various fun-based football activities and mini-games which would make them familiar with basics of football.

Mumbai FC’s Head of Youth Development, Kundan Chandra, was ecstatic after the festival was conducted successfully as he said, “It was absolutely amazing to have all these kids participate in the festival on the AFC Grassroots Day. We always try to make sure that each and every kid has fun. Enjoying the game is the most important aspect of football and such enjoyment would want the kids to play football and football related games more and more which would train them to become good players in the future. One crucial aspect of Grassroots is the parents. They can be the biggest motivators for their kids and it is amazing to see so many parents encouraging their kids to participate in the Grassroots Festival today.”
