CHANDIGARH: Minerva Academy Football Club boys registered an impressive victory over Indian Youth Soccer Association by 6-0 in the penultimate fixture of the U-15 Youth League Rest of India zone.

Riding on their impressive show till now, the young Minervans came into the match to continue their dominance in the North Zone Leg of the youth league being held at the Sector 17 stadium in Chandigarh.

Right from the first whistle, Minervans wanted to stamp their dominance and it took them only twelve minutes to do so when Manvir Singh drew the first blood. Three minutes later, Manvir scored the second goal before Amarjeet Mishra added the third in the 22nd minute.

IYSA couldn’t recover from the early setback as Minerva continue to exert more pressure on them. Govind Bahadur joined the party in the 40 minute from a beautifully scripted volley.

Minerva Academy started the 2nd half with the same intent and force and within six minutes, Jackson struck the 5th goal of the match.

Md Azharuddin Shah added his name to the scoresheet in the 75th minute to make it 6-0.

Having amassed 13 points from 5 matches, Minerva Academy are now seated affirm at the top of the table of the Rest of India North zone.
