RUDRAPUR: Juggernaut FC maintained their all-win record in the fourth edition of the AIFF Futsal Club Championship 2024–25 as they thrashed Triumph FC 5-1 in a Group A match at the Shri Manoj Sarkar Stadium – Shivalik Hall on Monday, August 11, 2025. The side had already qualified for the knockouts.
In the other group game, Ngamminlun Melvin emerged as the hero for Aphuyemi Football Club as he scored all the goals in his side’s 4-1 victory against Real Lona FC.
Group B also saw Bhawanipore FC maintain their perfect record with victories in all their three matches as they defeated Thlangtiang Futsal Club 7-4.
However, the day belonged to Corbett FC. The side needed to win by a significant margin to ensure their passage into the last 8 stage from Group B. The players delivered in aces as they thrashed Golazo Football Club 14-7. The big win helped Corbett FC finish level on three points with Thlangtiang and Golazo but a superior goal difference of -1 helped them earn a quarters berth.
Mutkekar, Bangera score a brace each

Juggernaut FC rounded off their group campaign in style, defeating Triumph FC 5–1 on Monday to finish with a perfect record of four wins from as many matches.
Even with their quarter-final spot already confirmed, Juggernaut FC came out with intent and were rewarded early when Vedant Mutkekar struck in the 3rd minute. Aman Shah doubled the lead in the 24th minute but Triumph hit back almost immediately through Hritik Sharma’s neat finish.
The equaliser barely rattled Juggernaut, and they restored control within minutes. Mutkekar grabbed his second of the match in the 27th minute, before Sachin Bangera’s quick-fire double in the 34th and 35th minutes sealed the result before half-time.
Triumph FC never recovered and ended the tournament without a win, collecting only one point from their group matches. Juggernaut, meanwhile, will head into the knockouts full of confidence after a dominant group stage showing.
Melvin steals the limelight
Aphuyemi Football Club 4 (Ngamminlun 16’, 18’, 29’, 40’)

Melvin made a name for himself as he scored all the four goals, including a hat-trick in Aphuyemi’s win. This was Aphuyemi’s second victory in the group and they finish in the third spot in the group with six points from four matches. The other team to qualify for the knockouts are Minerva Academy FC.
Melvin started the rout in the 16th minute before quickly scoring his second in the 18th minute.
Real Lona scored through Ashish Rana in the 26th minute but Melvin ensured his team’s win with goals in the 29th and 40th minutes.
Bhawanipore keep winning

Bhawanipore underlined their title credentials by winning all their group games and maintaining a perfect record.
They finished with nine points from three games and were already assured of a last eight spot. On Monday, Nikhil Mali scored a brace, while Sanjay Sharma, K Rohluahpuia, Sandeep Oraw and Shamsad Ali also found the net for Bhawanipore.

Corbett FC produced a goal-fest on Monday, overpowering Golazo Football Club 13–7 to book their place in the quarter-finals on goal difference.
Knowing they had to win big to advance, Corbett came out with attacking intent but were stunned in the 3rd minute when Seaon D’Souza put Golazo ahead. The setback was short-lived as Rony C Lalenkima equalised in the 9th minute, sparking a relentless spell of scoring. Goals from Saurabh Nikam, Lalrinzuala H, and a brace from Pratik Swami helped Corbett seize control, with C Lalremruata and PC Lalremruata also finding the net.
Golazo continued to threaten on the break, with Clinton D’Souza, Shoaib Bag, Muhammed Jaseem Co, and Arjun Satyajit Singh getting on the scoresheet, but Corbett’s firepower proved decisive. Lalenkima completed a four-goal haul, Swami bagged a hat-trick, and late strikes from PC Lalremruata and Lalmuansanga Sailung sealed the emphatic win. The result saw Corbett finish level on three points with Thlangtiang and Golazo, but their superior goal difference of ensured a place in the last eight.
