RUDRAPUR: Goal Hunterz FC rode yet another hat-trick from Bijoy Gusai to notch up their second consecutive win in the AIFF Futsal Club Championship 2024–25 as they thrashed Pondicherry United Football Academy 11-2 in a Group C match at the Shri Manoj Sarkar Stadium – Shivalik Hall on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

In the other group game, K3 Futsal Club logged three points as they edged past Hazrat Nizamuddin Club 4-3 in a thriller.

Group D also saw two exciting clashes with Ambelim Sports Club and TOFA triumphing over their opponents. While Ambelim defeated O.G.P. 6-3, TOFA beat Real Malabar FC Kondotty 6-4 in another close contest to qualify for the last-eight stage.

Gusai lights up the stage again

Gusai announced his arrival in the tournament with a double hat-trick in the first match against Hazrat Nizammudin. He continued his rich vein of form in his team’s second outing as well, scoring a hat-trick towards the end of the game. He scored his first goal in the 38th minute before scoring twice in the 39th minute.

The tone of Goal Hunterz’s victory, though, was set by a scintillating performance from Mahip Adhikari, who also bagged a hat-trick. After opening the scoring in the third minute, he struck in the 12th and 24th minutes to ensure an easy win for his side.

Goal Hunterz moved to six points from two games and are all but certain of reaching the quarterfinals from the group. Pondicherry United, on the other hand, suffered their first loss of the tournament.

K3 Futsal Club win a thriller

G Suresh and Satish Kumar scored a brace each to help K3 Futsal Club clinch a closely-fought 5-4 contest against Hazrat Nizamuddin Club on Sunday. The match swayed like a pendulum before Prashanth H scored the winner in the last minute.

It was Hazrat Nizamuddin’s Harsha Suhanda who scored the first goal in the seventh minute before G Suresh equalised in the 13th. Roshan Singh of K3 Futsal Club netted an own goal and Tarun Kumar Singh and Suhanda added to the tally to put Hazrat Nizamuddin firmly in the lead with 4-1 scoreline.

However, K3 Futsal Club made a strong comeback with Satish Kumar scoring a quick brace in the 33rd and 34th minutes. Suresh restored parity in the 37th minute before Prasanth helped K3 Futsal bag full three points from the match.

Ambelim Sports Club win first match

Ambelim Sports Club won their first match of the tournament with an easy 6-3 victory against O.G.P. All the goals in the Group D game came in the second half.

Both sides started cautiously and didn’t want to concede early. It was only in the 28th minute when Ronaldo Rosebud Pereira scored the first goal. Velon Joazinho Rebello and Fredsan Marshall quickly got into the act and ensured full three points for their side despite O.G.P. trying to put up a fight.

Yesudhas does the trick for TOFA

TOFA won their second Group D match on the trot to make the quarterfinals of the tournament. All the teams played two matches each in the group with TOFA leading the table with six points and Ambelim placed second with four points. Real Malabar FC Kondotty, who only have one point, could only reach a maximum of four points, which ensures TOFA’s entry into last eight. O.G.P., who have lost both their matches, are out of contention.

Raheemdhas Yesudhas was the architect of TOFA’s win with a hat-trick while Mohammed Ahtesham Ali also netted a brace.
