RUDRAPUR: Goal Hunterz FC, Hazrat Nizamuddin Club, and Ambelim Sports Club sealed their spots in the last eight of the AIFF Futsal Club Championship 2024-25 as the group stage concluded at the Shri Manoj Sarkar Stadium – Shivalik Hall, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Club booked the second Group C slot with a commanding 8–2 win over Pondicherry United Football Academy, joining group winners Goal Hunterz FC in the knockouts. In Group D, a 2-2 draw between TOFA and Ambelim ensured both sides progressed, finishing with seven and five points respectively from their three matches. Real Malabar FC Kondotty’s 5–3 victory over OGP Club was not enough, as they ended third with four points.

Goal Hunterz maintain perfect record

Goal Hunterz FC 6 (Manav Sharma 8, 13; Mahip Adhikari 11; Bijoy Gusai 24; Akshay Hurria 27; Ansh Gupta 30)
defeated
K3 Futsal Club 1 (Prasanth H 35)

Goal Hunterz made it three wins from three to finish top of Group C in commanding fashion. Playing with intensity from the start, they dictated possession and opened the scoring in the 8th minute through Manav Sharma, who added a second just five minutes later.

Mahip Adhikari and Bijoy Gusai further extended the lead before half-time, and after the restart, Akshay Hurria and Ansh Gupta added their names to the scoresheet. K3’s only reply came in the 35th minute via Prasanth H, but it did little to change the outcome.

The result meant K3 missed a chance to qualify, ending the group with three points and a –6 goal difference.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Club’s remarkable late surge

Hazrat Nizamuddin Club 8 (Ansh Walter 29; Harsh Suhanda 33; Faisal Hussain 34, 37; Lakshya Uppal 34; Rishabh Raikwar 36; Tarun Kumar Singh 37; Arjun Shukla 40)
defeated
Pondicherry United Football Academy 2 (Azhwar Anandh A 18; Gnana Deepan Colas 28)

Pondicherry United looked on course for a place in the knockouts when they led 2-0 approaching the final 12 minutes, courtesy of strikes from Azhwar Anandh and Gnana Deepan Colas. But Hazrat Nizamuddin responded with a stunning attacking blitz to turn the match — and their tournament — on its head.

Starting with Ansh Walter’s goal in the 29th minute, the Madhya Pradesh side scored eight times in rapid succession. Harsh Suhanda levelled in the 33rd minute before Faisal Hussain’s brace and goals from Lakshya Uppal, Rishabh Raikwar, Tarun Kumar Singh, and Arjun Shukla completed the rout.

The emphatic victory lifted Hazrat Nizamuddin Club level on three points with K3 and Pondicherry United, but their superior head-to-head goal difference secured second place in the group.

Real Malabar’s first win goes in vain

Real Malabar FC Kondotty 5 (Midhun P T 4, 40; Muhammed Basil M 19, 35; Hafis Alakkaparamba Mohammedali 30)
defeated
OGP Club 3 (Pritish Kumar Patnaik 2; Sunil Soren 26; Sumit Patel 27)

Needing a win to stay alive in the tournament, Real Malabar FC Kondotty delivered in a high-scoring contest. Despite conceding early to Pritish Kumar Patnaik, they hit back quickly through Midhun P T and took control with goals from Muhammed Basil M and Hafis Alakkaparamba Mohammedali.

OGP fought hard, scoring twice in quick succession midway through the second half via Sunil Soren and Sumit Patel, but Basil and Midhun completed their braces to secure a 5-3 win.

Ultimately, four points weren’t enough for the Kerala side to progress to the knockout stage, and their Group D campaign ended in third place.

TOFA and Ambelim Settle for a point

TOFA 2 (Raheemdhas Yesudhas 24; Chaitan Komarpant 31)
drew with
Ambelim Sports Club 2 (Ronaldo Rosebud Pereira 8; Joywin Maclito Costa 10)

Already assured of qualification after two wins, TOFA came from two goals down to draw their final group match with last season’s semi-finalists, Ambelim Sports Club. Ambelim made a bright start, with Ronaldo Rosebud Pereira and Joywin Maclito Costa scoring inside the opening 10 minutes.

TOFA reduced the deficit early in the second half through Raheemdhas Yesudhas before Chaitan Komarpant equalised in the 31st minute. The point was enough for Ambelim to claim second place in Group D with five points, while TOFA topped the group with seven.
