NEW DELHI: Chanmari FC made it four wins in four in Group A to qualify for the I-League 3 Play-offs Final after beating SAT Tirur 3-0 at the Kalyani Stadium on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

Despite needing only a point to secure top spot, Chanmari went all guns blazing right from the start and took the lead in the 11th minute as Moses Lalrinzuala got on the end of a through ball from KC Malsawmsanga and poked it into the bottom corner. J Lalruatsanga doubled the Mizoram side’s advantage from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute. Finally, substitute Ephraim Lalremtluanga wrapped up the scoring with a tap-in in the 94th minute.

Chanmari are yet to drop a point in this season’s I-League 3, winning all eight games in the group stage and the play-offs together so far. They will face Group B winners Diamond Harbour FC for the 2024-25 I-League 3 title clash on October 6.

In the other Group A match, MYJ-GMSC pipped Abbas Union FC for third place with a 1-0 win and secured their place in the 2025-26 I-League 2. The Mumbai side found the lone goal through Vidipt Dua in the 31st minute. The midfielder tapped the rebound into the open net after the goalkeeper had saved Himanshu Patil’s initial shot.
