NEW DELHI: Dempo SC have secured the services of English Centre- Back Calum Angus for the 2014/2015 season.

A product of the Portsmouth Academy, Angus is known for his tough tackling and has the ability to play out from the back with ease. Angus is also touted to be a very efficient leader and has played for Portsmouth FC (England) and  GAIS (Sweden).

He joins Dempo SC after having won five Man of the Match awards in the I-League last season, when he played with Pune FC. He will bolster Dempo’s defence this season, who with a blend of experience and youth in their ranks will be considered one of the favorites to have a successful season under the watchful eyes of Mr Arthur Papas.

“I am very happy and I’m looking forward to this exciting challenge with Dempo SC. I was very impressed with the style with which Dempo SC played last season.

“The club has built a very good squad under the guidance of Mr Papas and I will give my best for the club and have a great season,” Angus was quoted after signing on the dotted line for Dempo SC.
