AIZAWL: Aizawl FC are slated to play their third consecutive home game in Hero I-League 2015-16 against none other than the Flaming Oranje, who are at the 6th position in the table, having amassed 1 point from 2 matches. On the other hand, the debutants have moved up to fourth spot, thanks to their maiden win against DSK Shivajians.

Sporting gaffer Mateus Costa believes that Monday’s match will be a difficult one for them, “Aizawl will not be an easy team at all and there’s no question of taking them lightly, that too here.” He also added that his team played well in their last match but they could have shown much proficiency in the opponent box. “We’ve to rectify our flaws soon, otherwise wasting more points can hurt us in the league”, he clearly indicated that the Goan outfit will pounce for a win on 25th January.

He adds that the climate and artificial turf could pose some problems but would not be a big issue for them.

Sporting Clube de Goa’s captain Odafe Onyeka Okolie also mentions that he believes they played well in their last match. He adds,”Aizawl FC have shown their real worth and no matter what will happen at the end of the season, they will give a tough fight to every team in Hero I-League.”

Aizawl FC coach Manuel Retamero Fraile sounds pretty optimistic ahead of their next match,”We must try to move up in the table. I am very happy about the support we have been getting from our fans. We’ll keep no stone unturned to earn a three-pointer against Sporting Clube de Goa.”

Aizawl FC already announced that they will reduce the ticket price significantly for the next match. Aizawl crowd have shown immense faith on their home team, and the have already set a trend in Hero I-League.
