GOA: Daniel Lalhlimpuia and Prasanth both scored a hat-trick as the AIFF Elite Academy comfortably routs Dempo SC 9-0 in the qualifying round of U-19 I-league on 31st January 2015 at Sesa football ground in Sircaim.

With nothing to lose since the early exit; Dempo SC started their last clash of the competition commendably by successfully keeping the in-form AIFF Elite Academy at the bay with a systematic defensive work; until Daniel Lalhlimpuia ruined their party with a sweetly-timed header on Nishu Kumar’s dipping cross from left.

In thick of an action it was again Daniel Lalhlimpuia with guile movement to evade his markers; only to latch onto the piercing ball from the skipper Robinson Singh to place it low past rival keeper to double the lead.

Daniel’s brace opened the floodgates for the AIFF; as Prasanth rapidly completed his brace too in the frame of two minutes; first arrived on Lalramzauva’s lay-off in 30th minute which ricocheted off the goal-keeper only for Prasanth to bury the ball into the back of the net and following came in 31st minute with nippy exchanges in the penalty area with the same combination before placing the ball to the far right of the keeper.

At the half time the score was 4-0.

A minute after the restart; the things rapidly crumbled for Dempo SC when Prasanth completed his treble in the similar fashion; when the ball rebounded off the keeper on Nishu’s effort.

In 52nd Minute, Daniel Lalhlimpuia took a centre stage and completed his hat-trick on Moinuddin’s header which recoiled off the keeper; only for the buccaneer to slash it into the back of the nets.

A bad day quickly got worse for the host; when Amey Ranawade’s scored a marvellous goal with a solo effort in 84th minute and Kamalpreet Singh completed his brace on Nishu Kumar’s dual assist in 54th Minute and 85th Minute of the game.

At the final Whistle, the AIFF elite academy cruised into the final round of u 19 I-League in style.

The AIFF elite academy will be facing Sporting Clube De Goa in their next away fixture on 4th Feb 2015 at Don Bosco Ground in Panjim, Goa.
