RUDRAPUR: Bijoy Gusai hogged the limelight on Matchday 4 of the AIFF Futsal Club Championship 2024–25, as he scored six goals at the Shri Manoj Sarkar Stadium – Shivalik Hall on Friday, August 8 2025. His performance helped Goal Hunterz FC start their campaign with a comfortable 12-2 win against Hazrat Nizamuddin Club in a Group C game.

The other match in the group produced a thriller as Pondicherry United Football Academy rode a team effort to edge past K3 Futsal Club 5-3. In Group D games, TOFA breezed past O.G.P. 7-3 while Ambelim Sports Club came alive at the death to hold Real Malabar FC Kondotty to an exciting 4-4 draw.

Gusai puts on a show for Goal Hunterz

So far, Juggernaut FC’s Shibu Sunny has been in the headlines for his stellar form in the tournament, scoring the highest number of goals — 10. But he found a worthy competitor on Friday. Gusai blazed the arena with his goalscoring skills and started the rout as early as the second minute. He quickly added his second in the fifth minute before completing a first half-trick in the 19th minute. He continued his prolific form in the second half too as he added goals in the 27th, 29th and 34th minute.

Besides Gusai, Mahip Adhikari also scored a hat-trick with his goals coming in the fifth, 14th and 37th minute while Akshay Hurria netted a brace.  The other goal was scored by Mukul Singh Shoun. For Hazrat Nizamuddin, Rishabh Raikwar and Faisal Hussain were the scorers.

Pondicherry United edge past K3 Futsal Club

Pondicherry United FA had to dig deep to eke out a 5-3 win over K3 Futsal Club. Karunanithi S started the scoring in the eighth minute before Gnana Deepan Colas, Ranjith Kumar R, Dhilipan and Raja had to come to the party to help their side begin their campaign on a winning note.

For K3 Futsal Club, G Suresh netted a brace in the 14th and 32nd minutes after Sathish Kumar scored their first goal in the 12th minute.

The win took Pondicherry United FA to the second place in the group behind Goal Hunterz as both sides have three points.

TOFA have it easy

TOFA kicked off Group D proceedings with an easy 7-3 victory over O.G.P. Raheemdhas Yesudhas hit a brace in the 12th and 28th minutes after Tumuluru Anirudh had given the side a lead in the third minute. The other goals were scored by Hammad Abdul Malik, Ch Aravind Reddy, Mirza Ishaq Baig and Mohammed Ahtesham Ali.

O.G.P. had a nervy start to their campaign. All their goals came in the second half after they started to settle down. Sabyasachi Naik, Saheb Rout and Sunil Soren were on target for the side.

Ambelim SC share spoils with Real Malabar FC Kondotty

The Group D game between Ambelim SC and Real Malabar had excitement in store towards the end of the match. Both sides had the measure of each other in the first half and neither could breach each other’s defence. But the thrilling second half compensated for the lack of goals in the first.

It was Real Malabar FC Kondotty who took the lead through Muhammade Luthaife in the 24th minute before Midhun PT netted his first goal of the competition by converting a penalty in the 28th minute. He went on to complete a brace in the 34th minute and it seemed Real Malabar FC Kondotty were en route to a win. But Ambelim scored all their four goals in quick succession starting with Ronaldo Rosebud Pereira’s 35th minute strike to hold their opponents.
