Playing their second match of the playoffs, Karbi Anglong Morning Star registered a 3-2 win against SESA. The two teams went into the tunnel with the score 0-0 at half-time.

Karbi Anglong began their onslaught in the second half, with goals from Jwngbla Brahma (48’), Kevisanyu Peseyie (65’), and Sharangthem Rajdan Singh (87’). While SESA pulled two back through Shlok Tiwari (90+4’) and Clive Miranda (90+5’) in injury time, it was too late for them to snatch a point from the match.

Keinou Library & Sports beat Downtown Heroes

Keinou Library & Sports Association got off the board in their first match of the I-League 3 Playoffs, defeating Downtown Heroes 2-1. All the goals were scored in the first half.

Ngangom Ronald Singh made all the difference for Keinou on the day, as he netted a brace within the first half an hour. Ronald gave his side the early lead in the 12th minute, before Konthoujam Amarjit Singh (24’) equalised. Parity, however, was not to last for long, as Ronald scored the winner just four minutes later.With this win, Keinou Library & Sports moved on to the third spot in Group A with three points from their first game. Downtown Heroes, meanwhile, have now played two and lost as many.

Group B action ensues on Sunday, September 29, 2024, as Chanmari FC take on Abbas Union FC at 9 am IST, while SAT Tirur face Dalbir Football Academy at 3 pm IST. Both matches will be played at the Kalyani Stadium, in Kalyani, West Bengal.
