SRI BHAINI SAHIB: A goal deep into the add-on time saved the day for Shillong Lajong FC as they managed to walk away with one point after a 1-1 draw against Namdhari FC at the Namdhari Stadium on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Coached by former JCT footballer Harpreet Singh, the home side would feel frustrated by the result as they scored in the 38th minute on their home turf through defender Harpreet Singh and were on the verge of logging full points before substitute Laiwang Bohham found the equaliser in the 90+7 minutes.

Namdhari FC, who could bag only one point in their last three outings, now have 20 points from 21 matches. From the Shillong Lajong’s point of view, they don’t have much to celebrate; after all, the Shillong side are looking to improve their position in the points table.

After this draw, they remained stuck in sixth place with 31 points from 21 matches in the 13-team league being played on a home-and-away basis.
