NEW DELHI: The play-offs of the 2023-24 I-League 3 are set to begin on Friday, December 2023, at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco da Gama.

Five teams, winners of the five groups from the first round, will compete in a single round-robin format. The top three teams will be promoted to the 2023-24 I-League 2.

Fancying two of those three spots will be local favourites Sporting Clube de Goa and Dempo SC, who reached the play-offs after topping Groups A and C, respectively. The former I-League sides hope to return to their glory days on the national stage, beginning with a successful campaign in Vasco from Friday. Notably, Sporting and Dempo were the only two sides who did not concede a single goal in the group stage.

From Group B, KLASA FC of Manipur emerged toppers, finishing three points ahead of Sports Odisha. In a highly competitive Group E, Kerala United FC, who last participated in the I-League Qualifiers in 2021, sealed the top spot on the last day with a 3-3 draw with Bhawanipore FC. But the most thrilling final day showdown occurred in Group D as Sporting Club Bengaluru earned a 2-2 draw against Diamond Harbour FC to pip the Bengal side for a place in the I-League 3 Play-offs.
