KOLKATA: The Hero I-League Qualifiers 2020, the first-ever sporting event to be held in India during COVID from October 8 (Thursday) to October 19 will be telecast live by Lex Sportel Vision Pvt. Ltd. on 1Sport.
The Qualifiers have already generated much interest amongst football fans all across the country and will see the 5 qualified teams — Mohammedan SC, Bhawanipore FC, FC Bengaluru United, ARA FC and Garhwal FC – battling it out against each other for a coveted spot in the Hero I-League 2020-21.
All the matches would be played adhering to the medical parameters laid down by the authorities of the two venues – the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, and the Kalyani Municipal Stadium in Kalyani, West Bengal. All the teams have been housed at a 5Star Deluxe hotel adjacent to the VYBK, abiding by the protocol of the COVID bubble.
