NEW DELHI: A draw of lots took place at the AIFF Headquarters in the Football House on Friday evening to determine the team qualifying to the Final Round of the U-19 I-League from the Rest of India Group A Zone.

Hindustan FC emerged the winners from the draw of lots picked by the Match Commissioner.

Two teams were in contention – Hindustan FC and the Tata Football Academy.

Both the teams were level on every parameters following their respective results in their final group matches today. While Hindustan FC hammered Bengaluru FC 4-0, Tata Football Academy got past LoneStar Kashmir FC with a 3-0 scoreline.

The result took them jointly to the top of the table with the same number of points, an undecided head-to-head record, the same goal difference, as well as the same goals for.

Since there was no way to pick a winner through these parameters, Article 3.2 f of the U-19 I-League Regulations 2014/15 came into effect – which states a winner is to be picked by the drawing of lots.
