The Training regimes involved for the u-19 squad –

One month preparatory camp prior to the competition. The main focus the Club put on was on the 4-3-3- formation of play, with a process to build up from the back and more importantly the core strengthening – twice a week. The training routine also involved two inside matches and one practice match in a week.

Training venues –Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar, and MAM Stadium, Jammu.

Practice Games: A week’s camp at the Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, where LKFC played two practice matches against Amritsar’s top two teams.

Quote from Majid Yousuf (Secretary) – “It was very difficult to combine a team for such a big competition after the havoc unprecedented conditions caused by flood in Kashmir Valley. Somehow we managed to start our preparations despite the tremendous loss suffered by almost all players of the club.

“The team is working very hard and looks in a good shape. There is no inclusion of outside state players as we have all local players in the squad. The idea is to provide platform to the youth of our State. As LKFC are looking to making their debut in the national stage, we look forward for a decent appearance by our boys throughout the competition.”
