PUNE: Pune FC triumph over 10-man DSK Shivajians in U19 I-League. DSK Shivajians U-19 suffers a 4-2 defeat against their Pune FC in the inaugural match of the final round of the U-19 I-League 2014-15 at the DSK Dream City Football Fields.

20th April 2015, Pune – Pune FC triumphed over DSK Shivajians 4-2 in the opening match of the final round of Under 19 I-League. A dominant second half display, which saw DSK Shivajians’ Kamlesh Nadar sent off, sealed the victory for Pune FC.

Early on in the match, DSK Shivajians’ captain Mawihmingthang forced the Pune FC keeper into making a great save from an exceptional free kick 25 yards away. DSK Shivajians, building on their early domincance, scored in the 27th minute through a penalty when Mawihmingthang was brought down in the box. Patrick Thomas converted the penalty calmly to give DSK Shivajians the lead.

Lalhriatpuia doubled the lead in the next minute when he found the Pune FC goalkeeper off the line and chipped the ball home to double DSK Shivajians’ lead.

Pune FC charged for a late come back in the first half, as they scored in the 38th minute to make it 2-1. They scored again at the death of the first half to go into the dressing rooms level.

In the 56th minute, Kamlesh Nadar was sent off for a second bookable offence, leaving DSK Shivajians a man short. Pune FC pounced on the opportunity and took the lead in the 63rd minute through Dimple Bhagat. Pune FC then doubled their lead in 73rd minute through Arif Shaikh.

DSK Shivajians will now play AIFF Elite Academy next on 22nd April 2015 at the DSK Dream City Football Fields.
