GOA: Sporting is all set to take on Churchill Bros in one of the most anticipated matches of Goa Pro League 2015-16. In what is expected to be a mouth watering clash both teams would be looking forward to this opportunity as Goa Pro League enters a crucial second phase. Churchill had beaten sporting earlier in the opening stages of the tournament and the Flaming Oranje will be looking forward to this match as the best one to settle the scores.

The Sporting coach Mathew D’Costa said “We are all set and looking forward towards tomorrows match eagerly.” Sporting had a sluggish start to the Goa Pro League campaign but as the league progressed they have found their rhythm and managed to keep pace in what looks to be a three way title race. Coach further said “The boys have a positive outlook towards this match, we have done our homework and it’s just the matter of executing the plan correctly.”

Mathew also said “We are happy that Odafa is shaping up well, he has been a match winning player and his form is important to us. He has been training hard and we can see the results on the pitch.”

When quizzed about the previous set back against Churchill Mathew Said “That is past, we are not looking at this match as anything different from what we have been playing. We will stick to over basics and do the things we have been doing in the previous matches.”

However the concern for Mathew and company has been the injuries picked up by some of the key players. The Flaming Oranje will be lacking the services of Clement Joseph and Sumeet Passi who picked up injuries in the previous match while their man in-form Ndidi Chukawama is also doubtful for the important clash. When asked about the same Coach Mathew “Yes it is a concern but I am confident of my players, we have a fine squad and am sure the boys will fill in the void perfectly.”

At the other end Churchill Head Coach Alfred Fernandes had to say the following about today’s important clash. “It is a crucial match for us; it has been lonely on top of the table and we would not want to lose that loneliness.” Smiled Alfred. “We have beaten Sporting earlier but this a very different situation, they will be coming all guns blazing at us.”

He further added “Sporting is a top quality team with some really amazing players and we acknowledge this fact. This is surely going to be a cracker of the match. Our entire squad is match fit and we are very focused on maintaining our unbeaten run.”
