MUMBAI: 10-men Kenkre FC held a fired up PIFA Colaba 1-1 at All Saints High School Ground in their 2nd Division league clash on 29th November, 2015.

PIFA Colaba had a wonderful start when Rishad found the right top corner from the edge of the box to give the host a deserving lead. Soon, Kenkre FC found themselves a men down when Prathamesh Rokade was sent off.

Although Francisco Dominic equalized on the 33rd minute when he found the back of the net from 35 yards. Both the outfit had to share a point in the end.

PIFA Colaba were fired up right from the Referee’s whistle. It took them only 30 seconds to win their first corner.

PIFA Colaba’s Sushant Jadhav almost came to score on the 3rd minute when his shot just sailed over the bar.

Minute later, PIFA Colaba almost started celebrating when Pragnesh Solanki saw his left footed half volley struck the left post.

The host finally took the lead on 12th minute. PIFA Colaba’s Faraz Ahmad found Pragnesh Solanki with a delightful ball, who went onto delivered a dangerous cross into the box. The cross fell into Rishad’s path who curled his right footed shot from the edge of the box into the top corner to take a deserving lead.

Kenkre FC almost equalize when Yao Bernard tried to lash his shot from outside of his boot which eventually went just wide off the left hand post.

On the 23rd minute, Kenkre FC’s Prathamesh Rokade was sent off for a needless reaction, where he pushed Johnson D’Silva which saw the Referee showing him the marching orders.

Ten minutes later, Kenkre finally equalized. Francisco Dominic scored all the way from 35 yards, the number 2 found PIFA Colaba’s goalkeeper out of his position and launched a powerful shot which sailed into the back of the net.

In the second-half, Kenkre FC dominated although none of the teams managed to score the winner.

Yao Bernard yet again came close to score but his shot was blocked by Ashfak Khan.

PIFA Colaba could have taken the lead on the hour mark. Farhaz Ahmad fancied his luck from distance, his shot was brilliantly tipped over the bar by Siyas.

Kenkre’s target man Yao Bernard got a golden opportunity in the stoppage time. The number 10 danced his way through couple of defenders and managed to get a shot away which whispered past the right hand post.

With this draw, Kenkre FC has 2 points in 3 games and will be playing Dempo next.
