NEW DELHI: The tenacity of Indian Football cosmology is so immensely diverse that it penetrates deep not only into Men’s Football, but Women’s Football too. It symbolizes the strength which is on an upward surge and speaks of the developmental process in Indian Football.

To harness this immense pool of talent in Women’s Football, All India Football Federation will launch the first of its kind Workshop, in association with FIFA, ‘Live Your Goals’ on June 28, 2015 at the new-look Cooperage in Mumbai.

The objective of the campaign is to extend the outreach of Football amongst the Women of the Country while popularizing sport and fostering interest for ‘the beautiful game.’

The legendary Oinam Bembem Devi who has virtually been a part of the success of the Indian National Team in the last decade, along with the fleet-footed striker Bala Devi and sprightly winger Sasmita Mallick have been branded as the faces of ‘FIFA Live Your Goals.

“We thank AIFF and FIFA for conducting a Workshop which popularizes Women’s Football and develops interest amongst the young generation to take up Football as their most loved sport,” Bembem, who has been a role model for a large crop of Players within the Indian Women’s National Team told www.the-aiff.com.

“Women’s Football is on a rise and it is time we make it count by developing our Grassroots. And this Workshop aims at just that,” she added.

The FIFA Live Your Goals is a detailed roadmap of how Women’s Football should be spread uniformly across the Country through various Grassroots Programmes, Footballing activities and other festivities.

In coordination with the chalked out plan, All India Football Federation will also organize a two-day informative Grassroots Leaders Course for Women participants on June 26-27, 2015 for the Indian Women’s National Team Players and local participants from WIFA.
