       DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS & MARKETING

Reports To: Honorary Secretary

ROLE STATEMENT

The Director, Operations and Marketing (DO&M) shall be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient administration, operations and marketing aspects of the State Association’s General Secretariat.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will:

  • Minimum experience of 5 years (operations)
  • Be well-organized and a self-directed individual who is “politically savvy” and a team player
  • Be mature and able to relate to people at all levels of the association and amongst stakeholders
  • Have experience in budget development and monitoring
  • Have experience in having managed programmes and projects
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess an ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Have appropriate under-graduate qualifications (minimum, post-graduate desirable), preferably in management or business fields
  • Have knowledge of sport, especially football
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Office suite, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Be able to work independently, pro-actively and have a ‘hands-on’ approach
  • Abide by the Code of Conduct and all organisational policies and procedures
  • Abide by expected confidentiality and privacy obligations
  • Preferably having marketing skills and potential

PROBATION PERIOD

A probationary period of six (6) months applies to this position
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration& Project Management

  • Develop and manage projects and programmes in consultation with AIFF
  • Monitor and evaluate different development programmes and projects
  • Coordinate with AIFF on all matters related to State Development Programme
  • Responsible for effective implementation of all programmes and projects
  • Provide strong day-to-day leadership presence for administrative functions
  • Provide effective management by being actively involved in
  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of other staff except the technical officer
  • Develop and maintain appropriate and relevant internal policies and proceduresthat will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the State FA
  • Develop and ensure that internal policies and processes are complied with
  • Develop and maintain the association annual activity calendar in collaboration with all stakeholders and departments
  • Manage operations ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the delivery of services
  • Producing monthly progress reports of all projects and programmes for Honorary Secretary and also for AIFF
  • Assist, support or accompany the Honorary Secretary/ President from time to time as required
  • Work in coordination with Technical Officer of the Association

Marketing & Revenue Generation

  • Promoting State Association, its competitions, progrmmes and events
  • Developing Sponsorship proposals/ prospectus
  • Meeting prospective sponsors/ partners to generate sponsorship revenue
  • Improve image of the Association and marketing capabilities of the Association and its properties
  • Develop marketing strategy in consultation with AIFF and other experts/ consultant
  • Plan activities, events and programmes to generate possible commercial revenues

Finance

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process of the association and specially of all the development programmes/ projects

Submit monthly financial report to AIFF for all the development programmes/ projects
